Hello again!

Preparing for the next eight months overseas can certainly feel overwhelming! We have been blessed to enjoy a lot of food though!

Food Pictures

Here I am carrying pizza and chips for our high school days!

The picture next to that, I am baking cookies! We didn't have a rolling pin though so I had to use my hands to flatten them.

And finally we have Alondra posing next to our food! We did a curry night for our team dinner and Alondra was very proud of the (delicious) food that Megan cooked.

High School Days

As I mentioned above, we have been going into the high schools here in Orlando! Cru is allowed on a few campuses here and the Gap Year team has been allowed to see what they do. During the lunch period, the students who come to Cru eat lunch, hear about how God is working in their peer's lives, and get into small groups to discuss questions related to life and God. It has been so cool to see how God uses these high school students to lead conversations with their peers about faith and spirituality.

One of the schools here orders pizza every week as a way to get students to come to Cru. They have actually been seeing over 250 students at their Thursday Cru lunches as a result of God moving! It is incredible! Each week the staff orders about 60 pizzas to feed the masses. They have to use a cart to carry them all.

The Gap Year team is able to help out at these Cru lunches by organizing and taking part in discussions. In the middle photo, Kathryn and Jill are putting chips, plates, and napkins with all of the pizzas. Each group will get two pizzas, chips, plates, and napkins!

In the last picture, our Gapper Megan is sharing her testimony with a class! It was incredible! She spoke honestly with the students about how God met her in her anxiety and gave her a better way- through Him. We all shared our testimonies as a group during our first week in Orlando but hearing Megan share from the front was such an exciting time. I cannot wait to see how God uses Megan's testimony, and all of the team's testimonies, overseas!
